Join the Escape Rooms Championship 2025!

If you love competing and winning and you are a fan of escape rooms, then the Escape Room World Championship is just for you! If you haven’t heard of ER Champ yet, you can learn more at erchamp.com.

Gather a team of 2–4 people and rank in the top 10 of the qualification round.

What are the qualifications?

The qualification round is held online, and all you need is a computer. The qualifiers will take place on June 28, 2025. Register on the ER Champ website and create your Team if you already have teammates. Participation in the qualifiers is entirely free.

How to prepare?

To work well as a team, you can practice by playing escape rooms in your country (or abroad). On the championship website, you'll find past editions, including previous qualifiers, stress tests, and finals. These will help you familiarize yourself with the format of this year's qualifications.

The key to victory is good communication! It's recommended that you be together physically or communicate online. You can also seek help in the ER Champ Discord server.

About the qualification round

The games follow a point-and-click puzzle adventure format, suitable for both escape room enthusiasts and gamers who enjoy quests and puzzles. The 2024 qualifiers lasted 4 hours, with the top 10 teams finishing in 2 to 3 hours.

Championship Finals

The finals will take place in Sofia on October 20, 2025. The top 10 teams will compete in one day acrosstwo specially designed escape rooms.

The team with the fastest time will be crowned World Champion, while the second and third-place teams will also receive prizes. The escape rooms will remain a closely guarded secret until the day of the event.

Teams that do not make it into the top 10 can still attend as spectators. Some may even get the chance to play the final rooms after the official competition.

Rules for finalists and spectators

If you’re among the finalists, while waiting for your turn, you’ll be isolated from the internet, phones, and any communication devices. After your game, you’ll be able to join the audience.

As a spectator, you will have the chance to:

• Watch the finalists compete.
• Meet and chat with players after their games.
• Attend a conference for escape room owners and enthusiasts.
